Alliance of Valiant Arms

Alliance of Valient Arms is a military shooter with a focus on objective game modes and a rock-paper-scissors class system. You will be able to rent or permanently purchase weapons for free. Each weapon has upgrades available to change performance. The game has side-challenges much like the Call of Duty series to offer bonus experience points.

    Classes
  • There are three classes in the game: Point Man, Sniper and Rifle Man. Each class has an advantage and disadvantage against other classes.
  • Point Man – Uses weaker but more accurate SMGs along with speed to dominate the close-quarter game.
  • Sniper – Uses strong but slow sniper rifles to dominate the long-range game.
  • Rifle Man – Uses a strong but less-accurate assault rifle to dominate mid-range; good against a Point Man far away, good against a Sniper up close.
    Game Modes
  • Annihilation – Standard Team Death Match.
  • Convoy – One team breaks through many doors to ‘escape’ the map, the other team defends the choke-points and exits.
  • Demolition – One team works to plant a bomb at one of two locations defended by the other team.
  • Domination – Both teams fight for control of the map center.
  • Escort – One team escorts a tank through the map by walking next to it. The defenders use rockets to stall the tank’s advance.
  • Free for All – Standard every man for them self mode.
  • Melee – Fight with melee weapons only, one map features a soccer ball each team has to take to the opposing goal.
  • Prison Break – Co-Op mode where you fight through hundreds of prisoners to escape, survive or escort a VIP.

Paid Content items can help you level up and earn in-game money faster, provide aesthetics and give a slight advantage over Free Users (faster reloading).

From what little I did play of AVA, I have no complaints. The game is solid: minimal lag, good weapon feel, nice graphics, clear sound and good maps. The bonus opportunities to gain experience add extra goals to the game which make it last longer. If you are looking for a more modern free game, check this one out. – RenegadeFerret 7/28/2010
