Battlefield Heroes

BF Heroes is the cartoonish, comedic, 3rd person installment of the Battlefield franchise. Similar to other Battlefield games: you will find three infantry classes, jeeps, tanks and planes. As you level up, you will gain Hero Points to distribute among class abilities such as fire bullets, healing, invisibility, proximity mines, explosive barrels and increased speed. There are no ammo crates because everything has infinite ammo. BF Heroes contains two game modes: Conquest and V2 Vengeance. Conquest is similar to other BF games, flags around the map are available for capture (flag control only effects spawn points, tickets will not diminish for holding flags). V2 Vengeance has a capture point in the center of the map that both teams fight over. When you create a character, you can put them on either the Nationals or Royals faction. Once you choose a faction, your character will always play for them. Your starting spawn will always be the same and if the teams are uneven, they will not auto-balance.

    Class Weapons and Abilities
  • Commando (80 hp) – Sniper Rifles, Knifes, Pistols | Invisibility, Power Shot, Poison Knife, Single Recon, Proximity Mines, Sprint
  • Soldier (110 hp) – Automatic Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols, Grenades | Fire Bullets, Healing, Blasting Strike, Team Recon, Grenade Spam
  • Gunner (150 hp) – Machine Guns, Shotguns, Rocket Launchers | Team Shield, Healing Shot, Explosive Barrel, Team Sprint, Explosive Absorption

Valor Points are the free currency you earn in-game. They are used to purchase avatar items, healing widgets, and weapon rentals. Battle Funds can be purchased with real money and unlock more avatar items, healing widgets, permanent and powered-up weapons. Paying players will have a small advantage over free players because their weapons have more power and larger magazines.

Battlefield Heroes is a top-notch game that brings something new to the Battlefield Series. Each team has the same weapons and vehicles, and you must work together to master the fight against everything in sight. I highly recommend this game to both veterans and rookies: veterans will feel at home in a free game, and rookies will learn the basics of infantry-vehicle combat. – RenegadeFerret 7/28/2010

Character slots are hard to come by, so think before creating. Talk to your friends and decide if you want the character to be on the Royals or Nationals. Create at least one character for each class to learn their strengths and weaknesses.
