You have the large world set in ancient, mythological China with plenty of environments and quests specific to the area. Conquer is similar to Diablo that gives an old-school feeling with its blocky and sort of unappealing interface. This game’s combat is fast-paced and fluid. The lower level spells are a bit bland, but as the game progresses and you unlock higher spells, it becomes interesting to look at monsters exploding around you. Reaching level 120 can make you “REBORN,” and start from level 1, and can choose to be a different class, to get new skills, and keep some of your old ones. The game also has Open-PVP and when struck by death, you lose some of your equipment. The more he kills, the more consequences he gets. He can even go to “jail” which you have to break out of.
There are five classes in the game. The Ninja, which are the fastest class in the game which can deal large amounts of damage, but have the lowest survivability. The Trojans, which have dual-blades that can do massive damage and have medium to low survivability. Archers shoot arrows from a distance and can attack multiple units. Warriors are the melee tanks that are the best class to absorb damage, while dealing considerable damage themselves. Toaists, are Magicians that use spells. Later, they can be upgraded to the supportive “Water Toaist,” or upgraded to the offensive ‘Fire Toaist,” both which have low hit points and melee damage, but have a high magic damage.
You are able to purchase Conquer points which you can spend on over 30 items, many of which are different clothes, although some can boost experience and weapon proficiency. You can also buy Dragon balls which can upgrade your weapons, and can be sold for a large price.
Conquer Online is a bit bland because of its dated graphics, but if you look aside that, or you don’t mind it, Conquer is a game worth checking out. -Shotzzzz August 16,2010
