Silkroad Online takes place in ancient Chinese, Islamic, and European civilizations. What is unique about about Silkroad is that the main focus of the game revolves around trading and a triangular combat system. Players can be merchants, hunters, or thieves. Merchants play the center role in caravan, they circulate goods, and can make employments through contracts with hunters. Hunters are basically mercenaries, they can be hired by merchants or just protect the order of the game. Thieves steal from merchants and sell what they get for a quick buck. To make successful trips as a merchant you need hunters to protect you, but you have to hire them. And if you do not hire them you will likely get raided by Thieves. You have to work together so you can make it across the Silkroad.
