Beat Single Player on Hardest in about 3 Hours, some Multiplayer experience
Should Play
In 2027 (?), the global economy collapses and North Korea conquers many Asian countries. The US, already in an economic crisis, is then occupied by the North Koreans. Homefront allows you to experience the occupation as a resistance fighter doing your part to defend your country's freedom.
The Single Player plays in the same linear storytelling format as the Call of Duty franchise. It gives a detailed reality in which poverty, sickness, and fear rule the land. You will use an assortment of rifles along with a couple vehicles to fight a gorilla war. I felt the first half was good, but the second half lacked detail and excitement.
Multiplayer is a variation of CoD as well. You have weapon challenges, perks, and can purchase vehicles or items with money earned for playing well. If one player starts getting a killstreaks, enemy players will be notified of his location which prevents camping a bit.
People couldn't help but compare every FPS to Call of Duty. Since it couldn't match CoD and was very similar, this game didn't get a good reception.
I believe game fits in with the Call of Duty franchise somewhere between CoD4 and MW2. Look at it as if it were part of the series (in mechanics only).
