Soldier Front is an objective-based FPS with both tactical and casual modes. The most popular game mode, Team Battle, will pit teams of 8 against each other to complete objectives like planting bombs or stealing objects. Other modes will make players Captains who have big heads and heal by shooting the enemy. To kill captains a player must shoot his enlarged head. The game contains many modern weapons. The weapons do not have attachments or fire modes. Most weapons cannot be zoomed in for more accurate shots.
Paid content is mostly comprised of vanity items to make your character look cool or gain experience faster. You can purchase more speed or armor for free or with money, the only game-changing paid content is a new crosshair, the ability to switch weapons faster and the ability to pick weapons off the ground. Some weapons are only available with money, but it is rare for them to be better than free weapons. SP (the in-game currency) can also be purchased.
Objectives play a large part in Soldier Front making it an excellent introduction game to FPS. However, they game is notorious for lag problems and its community may lead a new player down the wrong path. You will learn a lot from this game if you focus on objectives and ignore most players. - RenegadeFerret May 21, 2010
Purchase a PSG-1 or other sniper rifle first. Sniper rifles perform decently without repairs which will allow you to save more money and purchase nearly anything you want.
