GM Mataleo Interview

In December of 2008, our very own Ronstr conducted an interview with GM Mataleo of Soldier Front. Here’s what he had to say!

How did you first get started as a GM?

• I was previously a GM for World of Warcraft, so I had experience.

Did you used to play soldier front before you were a GM?

• I had never played SF before starting. I love the game though and I even play at home sometimes.

What’s your favorite game?

• Of all time? Would probably have to be Golden Eye for Nintendo 64

What do you do in your spare time?

• Brazilian Jiu Jistu, Hang out with friends, Hang out with the GF, Typical Stuff.

Can you give us some hints about some new things being added to Soldier Front?

• There may be some pretty cool new clothing coming soon. Not stuff that is already in other versions.

Who’s your favorite GM?

• I love them all, we are a big family. That is an honest answer.

What are you guys trying to do to reduce lag?

• I cant say yet.

If you had to choose another job, what would it be?

• Professional Millionaire.

Do you guys really spill coffee on the servers?

• No, it’s just a running joke.

What advice would you give to gamers? To people who want to be a GM?

• I would say keep up with the gaming industry. Definitely work on computer skills. And school always helps. Lastly make sure your resume is solid.

How many hack reports do you get everyday?

• It varies day to day. Sometimes 100, sometimes 10.
